Aldershot Branch Parachute Regimental Association

About

Aldershot is the largest branch of the Parachute Regimental Association. (ABPRA). They meet monthly to arrange all sorts of events for their members to join in with during the coming months, such as their Summer BBQ and their Christmas Ball.

There are talks/presentations, museum visits, and an annual golf day (with trophy) for the golfers. They also have skiing, walking and yoga groups, plus regular breakfast club and curry night.

ABPRA encourage attendance at memorial services throughout the year, including a local one in February each year to remember the 1972 bombing of 16th Parachute Brigade’s Officers Mess in Aldershot. Also D-Day in Normandy, France every June, and Op market Garden in Arnhem, Netherlands, every September.

The Aldershot branch is well connected for skydivers, with several exRed Devil members. Plus half-a-dozen members that still jump round military parachutes.

Come and re-connect with the friends you made in the Army, and/or come and make some new ones.

Rushmoor Link Community Directory

Welcome to the Rushmoor Link community directory. This is the place to find very local information about activities, groups and community services. Whether you are looking for support, to improve your health and wellbeing, socialise more, get active, learn something new or find a place to meet, Rushmoor Link is a good place to start.

How to get started. Choose a category. Information is sorted into categories by service or organisation name. The directory focuses on what is available locally through statutory, community and voluntary organisations.

Next step. Once you have hit the category button, scroll through the results. You can use the keyword search to narrow down the information (e.g., dementia, Aldershot, football).

It’s a simple system packed full of information. We recommend you do not use punctuation marks like commas (,) or apostrophes (’).
