About

The Basingstoke Canal Centre function room is available for hire and is suitable for a wide range of activities including small parties, meetings, classes and talks. Hire available seven days a week from 9.00am-10.30pm.

Facilities and equipment include the canal side function room (standing capacity 45 people; seated capacity 70 people), a kitchenette with serving area, toilets including accessible toilet & baby changing facilities, car parking (30 spaces), outside area, tables & chairs, hot water urn, kettle, fridge, cutlery & crockery. Conditions/restrictions on use include no smoking, hire session to end by 10.30pm and a security deposit is required for out of hours hire.

About Basingstoke Canal Centre, Mytchett

The canal centre at Mytchett is the perfect place for visitors of all ages. It is a good place to start for walks, cycling or boating. The carpark is free during opening hours. At other times the barrier allows entry with a code only. Outside there is a children’s playground and next to that a café with inside and outside seating. In the spring and summer there are regular trips on the 12 seater boat ‘Rosebud’ and a variety of unpowered craft to hire. The canal centre is also available for hire.
