The Befriending and Buddying Service is available for older Rushmoor
residents, who are socially isolated at home.
Befriending service:
A friendly volunteer befriender can provide regular telephone calls or a home visit. Also, if you are interested in becoming a befriender, Rushmoor Voluntary Services can offer full training and support. Please contact for more information.
Buddying service:
If you would like to build confidence in going out on your own or know of someone who would like support, a volunteer can accompany you on a number of planned trips into town or to a social group to help you regain your confidence.

About Rushmoor Voluntary Services
Rushmoor Voluntary Services (RVS) are members of the Hampshire CVS Network, an alliance of 8 local organisations covering 11 districts, who work together to help Hampshire’s voluntary sector to succeed and flourish. Their role in the community is to champion volunteering and to help and support any charitable, voluntary or community group or social enterprise (VCSE) benefitting the Borough of Rushmoor. RVS delivers projects and services that are of community benefit which include Blooming Marvellous, Home Help, Community transport for Rushmoor & Hart, Accessible transport for Rushmoor & Hart residents, Thames Valley Positive Support and befriending & buddying for older residents in Rushmoor. They cover areas in Aldershot, Farnborough, North Camp and Blackwater Valley in the Northeast corner of Hampshire.
