Blooming Marvellous

Blooming Marvellous is a supported adult volunteering gardening project for people with or recovering from mental health issues. Volunteers enjoy making a difference to the gardens and green spaces of Rushmoor. They are keen to help local vulnerable residents whilst building happier and healthier lifestyles for themselves by improving their mental health wellbeing. The four main activities are working in gardens frail, elderly and disabled people in the Borough, improving community open-spaces, managing allotments in Aldershot, working with other Countryside Charities and participating in training and information sessions.

Several sessions are held weekly to carry out activities, support each other and to take an active role in the development of the project. They are always on the lookout for Rushmoor residents' gardens that they can ‘makeover’. This is a one off garden clearance service, not a regular gardening maintenance service.

How to get started. Choose a category. Information is sorted into categories by service or organisation name. The directory focuses on what is available locally through statutory, community and voluntary organisations.
