Greater Rushmoor Nepali Community
About
The Greater Rushmoor Nepali Community (GRNC) is a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting the Nepali diaspora, including Gurkha veterans and their families, across the Rushmoor area. Established in 2003, GRNC promotes the welfare, health, and wellbeing of the community by helping individuals overcome language, cultural, and digital barriers when accessing local services such as healthcare, housing, and benefits.
About Greater Rushmoor Nepali Community
While our primary focus is on supporting the elderly, we also engage younger generations through volunteering, cultural activities, and wellbeing sessions, fostering intergenerational connections and shared understanding. GRNC delivers a range of projects, including community awareness programmes, and provides translation, advice services, and links to essential local support networks.
By working closely with Rushmoor Borough Council, the NHS, Job Centre Plus, and other voluntary organisations, GRNC serves as a trusted bridge between the Nepali and wider communities, promoting inclusion, empowerment, and a strong sense of belonging for all.
