About

HPCN Get Togethers are a great opportunity to meet and share ideas with other parents in your local area over a tea or coffee. They often have guest speakers on a range of topics, but mostly these sessions give an opportunity for you to have a say in a relaxed and friendly environment. The Hart & Rushmoor Get Together meets monthly (please check for venue information). Other Get Togethers include: Evening Get Together - all areas of Hampshire and Under 5 Get Together - all areas of Hampshire.

About Hampshire Parent Carer Network

The Hampshire Parent Carer Network is an independent parent-led group set up to ensure that the families and carers of children and young people with disabilities or additional needs can participate fully in the development of services within Hampshire. Their shared mission is to improve and enhance the experiences and opportunities of children and young people with additional needs and/or disability by enabling parents and carers to be heard and be at the heart of decisions, development and delivery of services in Hampshire.

Their volunteer parent representatives sit on a range of boards and decision-making groups, representing the views of families with children/young people (0-25) with disabilities or additional needs. If you are a Hampshire parent carer you are an expert and we want you! If you would like to sit on a workstream, steering group or strategic board discussing education, health, social or leisure services and provisions email participation@hpcn.org.uk. Let them know about your knowledge and interests around special educational needs and/or disability arising from your own lived experience.
