Volunteering opportunities include:
-Local Healthwatch representative: you would observe the nature and quality of services, speak to patients, their families, carers and staff, and feedback your findings.
-Ambassador role: you would support the small Healthwatch team with providing a variety of duties including collecting views from members of the public. This role helps to deliver essential health and social care projects and ensures the views of patients are represented locally and nationally.
-Youthwatch Hampshire: a group of volunteers aged between 16-25 who work together to shape health and social care services by ensuring the views of younger people are heard by the NHS and local authority.
About Healthwatch Hampshire
Healthwatch Hampshire is the independent champion for people who use health and social care services in Hampshire. They are here to make sure that those running services, put people at the heart of care.
One of their main purposes is to understand the needs, experiences and concerns of people who use health and social care services and to speak out on their behalf.
