Reading coaching (for Adults)

About

Read Easy West Surrey & North East Hampshire helps adults learn to read. Adults are paired with a trained volunteer reading coach and meet twice a week for free reading coaching in a public place like a library. Readers follow a phonics-based reading programme, with their coach supporting them through the learning process step by step, at their own pace, steadily building their confidence.

To find out more about learning to read, please contact Dickon Hutchings - 07810 405 519 - wsnehnetworker@readeasy.org.uk

About Read Easy West Surrey & North East Hampshire

The West Surrey & NE Hampshire Read Easy Group was formed in March 2023, and is affiliated to Read Easy UK. They cover Aldershot, Fleet, Farnborough, Woking, Guildford, Farnham, Camberley and other towns in West Surrey and Northeast Hampshire. It is a national charity providing free, confidential one-to-one reading coaching for adults from trained volunteers. Many readers have had a poor experience in a school classroom or group setting, so the personal approach allows readers to develop a supportive and trusting bond with their dedicated coach.

Rushmoor Link Community Directory

Welcome to the Rushmoor Link community directory. This is the place to find very local information about activities, groups and community services. Whether you are looking for support, to improve your health and wellbeing, socialise more, get active, learn something new or find a place to meet, Rushmoor Link is a good place to start.

How to get started. Choose a category. Information is sorted into categories by service or organisation name. The directory focuses on what is available locally through statutory, community and voluntary organisations.

Next step. Once you have hit the category button, scroll through the results. You can use the keyword search to narrow down the information (e.g., dementia, Aldershot, football).

It’s a simple system packed full of information. We recommend you do not use punctuation marks like commas (,) or apostrophes (’).

Spotted a mistake or something is missing? Please do contact us if you are aware that any information is incorrect or missing via info@rvs.org.uk.
