Youth Counselling Service (West Surrey & North East Hampshire)

About

Counselling offered to those aged between 12 and 24 who are living, working or studying within West Surrey and North East Hampshire. You can talk about anything that is worrying you like relationships, families, drugs, pregnancy, sexuality, stress, bullying, feeling low, depression or anything else. The service can offer you 6 - 12 sessions and each session will last up to 50 minutes. Counsellors can give you the time and space to talk about the things you want to. This is a free and confidential service.

There is a 24 hour answer phone where you can leave a message and you we will be responded to you within four working days. The Team Administrator is available Tuesdays and Fridays 9am to 12 noon for referral queries. Appointments are available Monday to Friday 8:30-20.00 including some Saturday mornings - please enquire about venues.

This service covers the Yateley and Fleet GP practices in Hart, Rushmoor and the Surrey boroughs of Guildford, Waverley, Surrey Heath, Woking, West Elmbridge.
Requests for support can be made by health, social care and education professionals. Direct requests (self-referrals) for support can also be made.

About Mindworks Surrey

The Mindworks Surrey service is being delivered by a new alliance of organisations (NHS and national and local voluntary sector) working together to provide a new range of services for children and families, delivering the appropriate level of support at the right time.

The Mindworks Surrey partnership is also supporting and working with those organisations and groups who work with children and young people. This includes schools and health settings including GPs, blue light services and local hospitals, social care and youth organisations, various voluntary sector organisations, the wider community such as sports and social clubs, faith groups and many more.

The wide range of support and the greater number of places where it is available provides significant benefits. Overall, children, young people and their families should gain easier and quicker access to advice and support.

The Mindworks Surrey includes the following organisations in its alliance: Surrey & Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Barnado's, Learning Space, National Autistic Society, The Surrey Wellbeing Partnership and The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. Other partjners include Kooth, Catch 22 and Family Voice Surrey.
